Has anyone replaced the outer screen glass. My outer glass has cracked. My Rebel T7 works Ok but would like to fix it.

Not sure if it is possible on the 2000D/T7. Some models have the glass bonded to the LCD and you have to replace the complete assembly. If it is replaceable then it is only glued into place with double sided tape . Removal is not easy but if you are careful then you can prise up one corner enough to get a bit of dental floss underneath then use the floss in a sawing motion to cut through the remaining adhesive. If you break the glass then you stand a good chance of scratching the LCD surface.

I had to do this with an Eos 400D a couple of years ago - if the cover plastic is separate you can probably warm it with a hair dryer to melt the glue on the tape that holds the outer cover in place rather than messing around with dental floss. I used a rubber suction cup to pull it off and to handle the new one without leaving fingerprints anywhere inaccessible.

later - I don't think the 2000D is one of the cameras where this is possible, nobody seems to be offering a replacement on eBay, which is the first place I'd expect to find one.

I have replaced them on two cameras,450D and 1000D with chinese copies but if it is only a small crack put a glass screen protector from amazon on top of it and it disappears
