    Hi,

    Just testing a 2000D.....
Because of safety reasons the UPNP in the network is disabled and I think that this is the reason that the Eos Utility can't find the camera.
The camera can connect to the internal network, because my Pixel 7 can connect to the camera.

My question is this... which ports need to be open for the eos utility, or how do I connect the PC to the camera?

    Thanks for reading
    Guy

Connecting through this menu on the phone will only allow you to log into your network and see your phone, printer or the web to use canon image gateway. This is standard for this sort of connectivity...http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0300030395/01/EOS_2000D_Wi-Fi_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Transferring images to computer through EOS utility is not a feature of the camera, nor does it work on your network. Canon pairs with computer software by the camera becoming a wifi hotspot of its own and the computer connecting to the cameras wifi as standard operation. This is a function on many cameras a step or two above the base tier DSLRs.

Welcome to the forum, Guy,I do not have this camera but a 60D, the set should be the same. Connect the camera to the pc with a USB to mini USB cord.
Plug in the mini USB into the camera and the USB end of the cord into the pc.
Turn on the Pc and then the camera. the pc will show when the camera is connected.
Open the EOS utility, the program will show the connected camera.
Or check out this youtube videos, just type in how to connect your camera to pc, there is a number of videos there.

Not directly to the computer, card reader would be the option probably. I would have larger cards and multiples. so you don't need to transfer during an event. Keep in mind the 200d is an intro level and doesn't have many bells and whistles, wifi is one of them.

Also again, if you get wifi transfer on a higher end camera (example my 5d4), itself is the wifi spot, my laptop connects to "5d4 Camera Wifi " it does not use your home network.
