This month's photo topic is "Leaves" ...from trees, bushes etc.

    Happy shooting!
    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

These few leaves were taken from my backdoor step with a 150 to 500mm lens, the effort of walking all the way down to the tree in my backyard was too much so I took it from my backdoor, it reminds me of my children, after 40 years on, Clinging on to home.jpg still at home and do not want to leave.

I really like leaning into color temperature on these, very nice shots.

Maybe we should do a color temperature challenge next.

Nice sandles and in the second one the spider's web adds some interest to the photo.

Ohm, I really like the photography, the look that the flash gives it, it highlights the colors of the leaves and its fruits, leaving the background as a slightly muted complement.

Gary, The photographs show us the low temperatures to which they are subjected, the first one draws some interesting, frosty shapes and the second one gives us a wintery appearance.

Craig, a nice odd number of leaves in a photograph, with a blurred background. Despite the large telephoto lens, the leaves look isolated.

Caladina, The sandals and feet dominate the photograph due to their pleasant color; you almost have to search for the leaf. The second photograph is a nice composition of growing leaves.

Thumbnail, It is an explosion of color that gives warmth and decorates the tree.

This month I had planned to photograph several types of leaves, of various plants, but after a hot weekend in Torredembarra, upon arriving in Barcelona I found that some mini rose bushes had dried out.

My plan got complicated because it seems Capture One has invented a new method to trick us into paying, and I'm not going to play that game. I tried DarkTable in Torredembarra and the results are encouraging, although I'm a bit confused. This series of photographs of the mini rose bushes. 20250724_0007h.jpg 20250725_0003h.jpg 20250725_0004h.jpg

The plants may have suffered but the result has created a striking set of images José.

José. of the three, I like the middle one as it shows what leaves are for in nature, food for insects and a means of gaining nurishment for the plant.
