This month's photo topic is "Color Temperature" ...utilize the color temperature intentionally in your photos.

    Happy shooting!
    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

Ohm, nice photo, looks like it was taken at noon with intense lighting.

Ohm, The flowers look very saturated and with the intense color, leaning towards cold due to the strength of the blue, it looks a little strange although attractive at the same time.

Caladina, As Craig says they are Terrifying, shot at 2500K gives a nocturnal look, which helps to highlight the dominant blue of the background.

Graig, splendid photography, which highlights the mountains, while the neighborhood houses are visible in the foreground. The more distant vegetation forms the background, and the mountains are the background. Perhaps increasing the exposure and contrast a little would help make it more distinct.

I'm sending you three photographs, which are actually one, but have been cropped three times and have a different colour temperatura.
I've remembered a photograph from the analogue era that I saw in a magazine for many years now. The caption read: 'He knew how to combine the warm light of a light bulb with the cool light from outside the house.' It was this that inspired most of the photos I took that afternoon.
The first photo, as it came out of the camera, was uncropped, and even the horizon turned out quite well. I only changed the saturation and contrast settings, and that's it.

The second photograph is a crop of the first and I set a color temperature of 4150K, which is the normal value of the moon's reflection.

And the third, I raise the color temperature to 7000K, to be as if illuminated by a Xenon lamp, with which the moon becomes an orange color and the blue becomes darker and more intense.
I edited these photographs with DARKTABLE, and although I'm a bit confused, I think the results are encouraging. IMG_5395_02.jpg

Thanks for the suggestions ,José I was trying to emphasize the blue hour colour, there was better places to take this shot from but light was fading, this is just around the corner from where I live and I was lazy so I stuck the camera in auto, normally I would not have a ugly high voltage wire in the shot but on the other hand it shows the enviroment I live in.

José, of the three I like the second , the one with the woman and child at the beach.

Craig, thanks for commenting. When I looked up the moon's color on the web, I found a photo page that said it was between 4000K and 4150K. As long as it wasn't close to the horizon, then it could be a little pink. Then the temperature on the second one is 4000K.
