Currently have the T3I with a 50mm lens. MAJOR fault (why I want a new camera) is it times out at 12 or 14 minutes. I use a SanDisk 32GB storage SD card. Intent: I record full length workout videos for my YouTube channel. -Need the camera to focus quickly on rapid movements -Need the camera to record up to 29 minutes at full HD quality -Need it to still be compatible with my 50mm lens for photography as well

I have the same problem with my 60D when I video my friend;s exercise class and when I use the community centre's 80D cameras, From my research on YouTube this limitation is built into the camera to prevent the sensor from overheating or as some claim this is so the cheaper mid range cameras do not compete with there high end video cameras. One way around this could be to download Magic Lantern or a similar program.
Sorry to hear you have the same problem with your 60D. That's terrible. I also invested in an 800 canon video camera but the quality and brightness couldn't compare at all to the rebel T3I so I sold the video camera.
I am at present trying to work around the problem. I have a video camera that uses the old tape format. I have a cable and software that allows me to convert to a gift file. My aim is to put it in Photoshop and tidy it up, this could be a temporary solution for you til you can get a better camera. You can pick them up everywhere very cheap.
I have been thinking of your problem and wish to ask how do you process your videos? I download them into Photoshop where I join. edit, and add to them. The edited file is then saved as a MP4 video file.
Not sure where i saw the chart but with the 4 gig limit at highest video settings you are likely hitting the file size cap before the time limit. A better rated memory car can maybe improve the situation if that is not the case as you may run out of buffer around the 12 min mark.
