How to cut the folder containing the image files on the memory card in this camera and paste it onto computer?
    Thank you.

You should be using the canon software available on their site to connect to the camera. There is a EOS Utility for your OS and Camera combination. It will manage file transfer for you from camera.
You can use a card reader to copy the files directly from the card itself. Do not mess with folder structure on the card without reformatting the card in camera afterwards.

    Thank you.
I use Canon OPP and EOS Utility which can download (copy) the files from camera to computer, but it does not have a "cut" function or I do not find it.
I want the memory card empty and ready for next shooting. So, I prefer cutting all the image files after a trip of shooting.
But I do not know how to do that.
    Thanks.

Totally understandable, I haven't used the eos utility in a while, but i believe there was a option to select between copy and move files.

That said, I always copy the files. I use a card reader and copy over to the computer. For a few reasons. 1. I let the camera manage the file structure. 2. I want the originals left on the card until i am sure they are readable on the computer and I have backed them up to a another location.
Once ready for the files to be dumped I always use the format card option, that is the recommended way to remove them from the card and will ensure camera is ready to use the card.

Thank you. Yes, I do use Canon OPP and Utility. My point is that I want the memory card be empty after downloading the files.
    Thank you.

Ray, I think I know what you are after. When you have downloaded your photos and backed them up on your computer or laptop , what-ever you now need to clear all the photos form the memory card.
this can best be done in the camera. You will find this by pushing the memory button. a series of folders will come up. Scroll down the columns to find the word format. If it is not on the first one use the jog wheel on the camera to move to the next one so if it is not there go to the next and scroll down the list.
When you find the word format click on it and message will come up "do you want to format this card" you now have a choice yes or no. If you say yes it will clear everything off the card and prepare it for the next set of shots.
If you wish to delete some of the files while it is on the computer go to the drive the card is in and click on it this will bring up the folder in which your photos are in highlight the one you want to delete and delete them
If you wish to delete them all do so but to reuse the card in the camera it is best to format the card in the camera. Hope this is of some help.
