    Hi everyone
I am a visually impaired, but I really enjoy taking photographs, I sometimes use sound and the environment around me to frame my photos.

Welcome to the Forum David, I read what you said about yourself and this has got me thinking. I have several mature students in my photography class and as the years have gone on there eyesight is steadily decreasing, in fact one has a problem with his eyes watering and finding it hard to see at times. If I was to have them concentrate their efforts towards black and white photography and have them visualize their shots, shapes leading lines and splitting there photo up into the 10 zones. ( the system developed by Ansel Adams) Is this something that you use or do you think it might help? I would appreciate feed back if it is not a imposition regards Craig S.

    Hi Craig

I haven't tried that method, I take my photos in colour, depending on what I am taking a picture of, for example if it's something like the sea, I listen, feel the spray on my face and if possible on the water to see how high the waves are. This is one of my pictures, one of the comments i have had about it was 'they could feel, see, hear and smell the water coming out of the photo'.
