This is a car meet that happens on the second Sunday of each month at a cafe in a local business park.
I intend to go more often than I have been.
    Canon EOS-1Ds, Canon EF 28-135mm.

These two Buckle sports cars turned up in very good condition. I later found out that only 20 of them were made.

THanks, Gary. I would have preferred a few clouds to provide some softer light. Bright sunlight and harse shadows are not easy to work with.

Just a thought, a polarizing filter might help with that, still a neat camera and excellent photo subjects.

Thanks, Craig. I did think of that too. But when I looked the 72mm polariser was not in my bag. :(

My I respectfully suggest, now might be a good time to sweet talk the lady of the house into allowing the purchase of a second one to keep with the 1D, As you know I have a large collection of cameras and try to keep them as kits, that way I have all accessories at hand, if I don't do it his way I forget stuff left right and centre and as you might also guess, no wife to control my rampant hording of camera gear. Life is really good when you are single.

That suggestion does have merit, Craig. I only have one other lens that uses 72mm filters and that is on a Pentax camera so another 72mm pol for use on the 1Ds is a good idea. However, I won't be sweet talking the lady of the house because I find it much wiser to not advise her of my purchases of photography gear. What she doesn't know won't scare her.

Ray, it has been a long time since I have had to consider the social graces of living in a relationship with a lady of the house and as such will keep my thoughts to myself so as to ensure you don't miss out on tea tonight.

Ray thanks for sharing your photos. It is very interesting to see what folks in other parts of the world enjoy in cars. It appears that the vintage auto scene is alive and vibrant in your area.

Hi Jim, yes, the auto scene is alive and well down here. As I indicated above, these guys meet on the second Sunday of each month and a good selection of cars turned up.
A much larger annual meet was held near the end of October at a local park and surrounding streets. You can get a better idea of the number of cars and crowds here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7sHfJ1oi6riy5r357
And some more that were taken with a Pentax camera here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/jzuHScSqH8AFKdE8A
I have been going to Chromefest for many years.
