Stupidly erased a folder with some recent photo. I stopped immediately and ran recovery software. All of them recovered. Problem is...they won't open now.

Tried everything...wondering if anyone here has had any luck getting files to pen after a data disaster like this.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sometimes recovered files require a second party software to open them. I'd try that first...try using the recovery software, see if that works. Good luck.

The sample file you provided says it is a CR2 which is a RAW file but it is only 40 KB which is far too small for a RAW file and Photoshop can't open it. I am not sure which recovery program you used but it obviously has not worked.
I have had success using a program called Recuva. I suggest trying it.
