March Monthly Photo Challenge - Green

After our hot, dry summer our garden was looking a bit sad too, Craig, but after a few days of good rain it has all bounced back.

 

I did do the same thing in our garden looking for shades of green. I think that I will keep on looking.

This is a picture of a army tank which is green, its only a toy but it is military green thank you Frank

 

It's definitely green and it fits in the rules

 

I like this image. I like the way the seats lead the eye into the distance.

I like the way that the reeds(?) lead the eye towards the subject.

It's a little hard when you have no rain to make things a little greener. I like what you are trying to do. I am not sure, but the images look a little soft, not sure if you not catching focus, or is it a little camera shake?

I like the way you have captured the highlights of the sun in the gap. If I could change one thing, it would be the two highlights on the left hand side.

New growth always looks nice against the darker old growth. Looks good Mr Allen.

I think that you have been pretty successful with your playing around. I don't own a marco lens, or any extension tubes, or even a teleconverter, so your doing better than me.

I think I have a problem with the lens, I tried to focus on the tree in the middle of the scene and the camera locked on to the trees in the rear, I was using a tripod at the time, I put it in as I think the girl in the photo was pretty hot.

 

A nice indoor image. Maybe if you were a little higher or a little lower, you may have missed the highlight on the top of the turret. Well done.

I was looking for your "in focus" part of the image in the grass in front of the tree, but I couldn't find it. Being on a tripod should rule out any shaking in that bright light. What lens were you using?

And adding foreground interest is a good thing.

Gary,the lens is a Tamron aspherical LD 28 - 200mm f3.8 - 5.6 canon EOS mount, this has been my go to lens for my 60D for many years and the first time I have had a problem with it.
It is like a old friend getting sick.

 

Thanks Gary - I actually had a lot of fun playing around with the set-up. And the wife was happy 'cause I wasn't bothering her!

 

Sounds like a win win situation. Maybe you should some more.
