I know, this is the second time I have had a problem with attachments. Just hit the link to the article. That works.

    A little Canon stuff

I have had a bit of a think about being under house arrest, so to speak. And what it would it be like. We are lucky enough to live in a house, so at least we can venture outside a little. Depending on how strict the confinement rules are going to be, and yes they can change from one day to the next, we can get out into the country and not be near any other people. So getting out to do some photography should still be possible.

But, as there are now no foreign tourists about, I am considering doing a road trip to some of the more popular tourist hot spots while there are no tourists about, and take in the views and avoid the crowds.

I had a read of your "Is Mirrorless Magic?" article as well. I have not long dipped my toe into the mirrorless pool as well. Coming from a dslr user, I am finding a few differences between the systems. Of course there are some negatives, but I am finding that the positive list is longer, and there are a couple of things that I really, really, really like about mirrorless. I guess it depends what you mainly shoot to how it works, or not for you. So far, one system is not a replacement for the other. Both have their place.

At the moment I find this virus a pain in the arse not so much for me but for my students. I have heaps to do but for my students it was a way to socialize and interact with others, plus they enjoyed the photography and short field trips and it gets them out of their homes and doing something.
All this has come to abrupt end as all my classes at the Community Center have been cancelled for up to five week or more

    Hi Craig,

I used to teach, so I can relate. It is disappointing for both you and the students. This will pass, and your students will be more appreciative than before ... so will you.

I am not sure what it is like in your neck of the woods, but things are being screwed down pretty quickly over here. The way things are going, I think that five weeks is a little optimistic.

I am not sure when I am going to be getting out with a camera.

Things in Tasmania is getting serious first there was a run on toilet paper then pasta and now they have closed all the pubs and there is a run on beer.
I drink very little beer so it does not worry me but now no sugar. I need that for my coffee in the morning. There is some pluses, less traffic of a morning and it a good excuse to go out in the bush and take photos, no crowds.
