    Hi all,

I have a bit of a dilemma. using a Canon Eod 77D, Tameron 150 - 600mm contemporary lens (well all my lenses). The thing is all my images appear very hazy and dull . The image itself is pin sharp.
I have tried on various focal lengths, various Apertures and various shutter speeds up to 1/2000, even used a tripod and shutter remote so as not to move the camera in any way at all and at various times of the day. The
lenses are relatively new, the Tamron only about 4 months old bought new.
I am hoping that someone may have a reason why this maybe.

    Cheers, Pete

    Hi Caladina,
Thanks for replying. At the moment I am using jpeg. I have tried RAW also, with the same result.

    Thanks.

Well RAW would general produce very neutral files for you to up your contrast or saturation. My guess is the JPG profile is turned down too, so minimal processing is being applied. A few examples may help, but when you say dull i imagine you are looking for more saturation in the colors in your images.

is it possible for the mirror itself to become hazy?

    Hi all,

I think the problem is sorted out now after a little Googling and reading. Well I was lucky enough to stumble across the answer
which also got me altering other settings on my camera.
On the Tamron web site there was a link regarding certain issues with certain cameras and certain lenses, my 77D was on the list.
The issue was "TURN OFF CHROMATIC ABBERATION CORRECTION ON THE CAMERA, AS THE LENS ALREADY HAS IT"
    or something along those lines.
I also turned off Peripheral illumination correction and left on Distortion correction and Diffraction correction and turned off long exposure noise reduction. All of which were turned on previously.
I hope this helps someone else with a similar problem. And thanks for your help guys.

    Stay safe everyone,
    Pete.

Excellent. I am pleased that you got to the bottom of the problem, and that you let us know what the resolution was.
