Nature Spring Shore Birds

    Hopefully I sized these correctly and this works.
    Some shots from the spring from a shorebird nesting site with the 1DX2 and 600/4 IS II.

    Very impressive. I think I will give up photography and take up knitting.

    On a side note, do you own a R5? If so, how do you find this camera as opposed to your 1DX2 for shots like this?

    The sun was at the perfect spot for that shot Craig, not really a shore bird but it was hanging out in the rookery.

    GDN I haven't had a chance to shoot many birds in flight yet with the R5 but I'm pretty sure it will be better than the 1DX2. Next week I start a two week vacation and hoping to get a chance at bald eagles fishing, that will be the real test for the R5.

    bah, thats no test for a R5, try small bats at dusk, they are a harder target to keep in frame. :)
    the fishing birds shoot sounds like a great vacation
