    Hello All
I have had my Cannon 80D for a while now and have been happily messing around with it. I would now like to get a little more serious with it. My current selection of lenses are good and generally I can get the image I want. However I would like to get more close up wildlife images I currently have a 300m lens and would like to go to 600mm. For this there are 2 options a lens extender or a 600mm lens.

1 Are there lens extenders for the Cannon EFS range?
2 Do the R range lenses connect to the Cannon 80D body?

thanks in advance for any help provided.

The 1.4 and 2x TC's are only for full frame lenses and no the RF lenses will not mount onto your 80D.

If you want to get to 600mm you will probably have to look at a Tamron or Sigma zoom, or maybe the Canon 100-400 and a 1.4TC.

    Ashi Super - Takumar 1.8 / 55mm,
if you are using the sig 70-300mm is that with an ef adapter?
i use canon x2 extenders with my M50 crop camera placed between the ef adapter and sigma ef fit 100-400mm c.
apart from the flange type, (ef) the other thing that can stop the x2 extenders fitting is the distance the rear lens element is from the flange.
where as my 100-400 sig has a decent depth the 18-35 sig has no clearance for the extenders design to drop into.

the x2 mk iii has 7mm of protrusion from the end that needs to mate with the lens, the diameter of the protrusion is 34mm,
i'd say have a couple mm on each to be sure it will physically fit, as for the optical side i'm guessing it should work,
Any one else confirm the optics should work?
To stack the mk iii x2 converters i place an extension tube between them to avoid the protrusion issue.
for me i will get the sig 150-600mm eventually unless i see a cheap ass faster 600mm
