Miranda lens adapter to fit Canon 7d

    Does anyone know if there is an adapter to fit a Miranda 35-70 macro lens, 3.5-4.5 to canon eos 7d

    looking on line it says its a native pentax k so yes there are adapters on ebay for that,
    i would also double check info and assumptions by posting a pic of the rear mount here.
    that way if there are any anomalies we should be able to see and advise

    Apologies for the late reply. The original Miranda mount up to 1972 was a weird double mount, M44 (yes 44) screw on the inside with a bayonet surrounding it. Lenses came in both fittings. I don't think either is easily adapted to anything else. The company folded in 1972.

    In the 1980s rights to the brand name were sold and it was used as a badge name for lenses in a lot of different mounts including Pentax K and M42, Minolta MD, Nikon F, Canon FD etc. Most can be adapted to Canon EF, but in a couple of cases you'd need an adapter with a corrective lens and they don't usually give wonderful results. It might be easier to look at other lenses.

    If you can post some pictures of the mount it ought to be possible to identify it properly.
