    Hey!
I'm a new here and will appreciate your help )I need to buy a fixed lens rf 35mm 1.4 for my canon eos r6. But that doesnt exist for canon r6. Therefore I consider rf 35mm 1.8 or ef 35mm 1.4 plus adapter? What would you recommend for lifestyle photos? For the last option there are 3 types of adapters, read that control ring is quite good? How true is that? Also thinking of buying rf 35mm 1.8 for now price is ok, and when released I ll buy rf 35mm 1.4, but question is does canon plan to release rf 35mm 1.4 or when? Thanks for your time!

I'm guessing the cost and size is less of a concern than the output from it? That 35 1.4 II is an expensive and great lens but has a bit of size compared to the RF 35mm. Do you have a DSLR system as well? They are rumoring both a 1.2 and a 1.4 prime so I imagine you will see something in the next year or so if you can hold out. https://www.canonrumors.com/are-there-two-version-of-the-rf-35mm-f-1-2l-usm-coming-cr1/
If I was shooting only on an R camera I would consider the edge to the 35mm 1.8, sure its not an L but it has very nice IQ from the examples I have seen, also it is a macro lens, and at $500 packs quite a punch and gives you time to decide if you need to invest 2 grand in a wider L lens when it is released.
