For owners of the above film SLRs the focusing screens are compatible with each other as I found out when my EOS 1000 FN I bought from eBay for 99p had some marks on the the focus screen I previously had a EOS 10O qd which had a shutter fault so I removed it and fitted it to EOS 1000 FN . It appears that some screens will cross reference certain models especially earlier ones the 1000,100 and 10 are no exception this is handy to know if you have a model and you have the same problem I used no tweezers wearing a black nitrile glove (powerless) you can remove any screen and not mark or get fingerprints on the screen
Hello. Mark. It is good to see another interested in film, there is a few of us here who are like minded. I see you have a excellent camera in the 1D mark4, I have the 1D mark3. A bit chunky with the larger battery compared to the regular SLR model but gives excellent results.
I updated the sub forum to the Film one instead of Canon Rumors/News, Would you like the thread title to have Focus Screen Compatibility in it as well to fine tune the subject of the thread?
