I took a load of Milky Way images with the plan of once I got home, I would stitch them together to create a horizon to horizon image.

I used a 40mm lens to take the images. There are around 90 images in total, not that I am planning to use all of them. When I was taking the images, I set the camera so I saved a jpeg and a raw file.

Which brings me to the problem I am facing. Stitching the images together. I have tried Mircosoft ICE, and PS Elements 12. Both of them failed, or should I say I had "interesting" results. Not all of the images are perfectly straight with the Milky Way running straight up and down the image.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions on which software could work?

I have heard good things about HUGIN but I have never needed to use it.

Thanks for keeping an eye out Ray.

I have been doing some looking around on the net, and the general consensus is that I am asking way too much of any stitching software.

I may have to do this project image by image................... manually.
