Pick one or combine them to make it more challenging.

    Happy shooting!

    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

Ok, I am in lockdown, if you can't tell. So, can I dig up something that I have taken earlier?

I am thinking of getting earth, air, fire, and water into one image.

    IMG_3220.jpg

I can see some of that.

    Honest, it is there.

    Yes, in the sky area.

There is some on top of the earth. It's white in colour.

    Yip, RP.

It was -12 degrees, so yeah, I was living the dream.

I went and edited the post, the member who suggested was trying to open up more options by giving multiple ones.

This image is from the back wall of the historic, 200 year old stone barn where I teach my photography class. The mortar that is used come from the lime kiln on the Derwent river at Granton. The lime for the mortar came from scallop and mussel shells that was crushed and then roasted in a huge kiln. The bolt is from the same era.
Now for the elements in this image, There are three basic components of sandstones (1) detrital grains, mainly transported, sand-size minerals such as quartz and feldspar, (2) a detrital matrix of clay or mud,
The bolt is iron ( FE ) with oxygen molecules producing ironoxide (rust ) iron and sandstone.jpg

This image is earth and water.
This is located at the top of Chapel street in Glenorchy Tasmania, my father grew up here as a boy.
In the rocks can be found a quantity of fossils. I believe this was from a ancient sea bed as most of the fossils are of mussels and similar marine creatures

    Cheers for the comment Craig.

Hopefully we will be able to get out and have another crack at an image.

IMG_3401h.jpg IMG_3454h.jpg This month the topic seemed very broad until I thought about it then it didn't seem so broad.
The first photograph I taken on the terrace of my house in Barcelona, They are the first drops of rain after the hot summer we've been through.
The following images are taken in Torredembarra, where we were finally able to go. Since my wife is sick and she did not feel like to leaving from home.
The first when arriving at the apartment, the sunset.
After a shot of the moon almost full, with the tripod, it was very cloudy but it did not rain.
And the last one, on Sunday at noon, a view of the beach in September.

Caladina: I completely agree with your words, regarding the mention for the Island of La Palma, as well as for its inhabitants who are suffering all the calamities expelled by the volcano in the form of lava.
I take this opportunity to send you photographs of the trip that I made to said island in 2012, and which impresed me by its people and landscapes.
The first photo it is view of the capital, it is seen that the southern part is in the caldera of a volcano, already extinct. Vista de Santa Cruz de la Palma.jpg

The highest peak is the Roque de los Muchachos, which reaches 2,426 meters in height. Where you can see impressive views and nearby, several observatories have been installed, from the Canary Islands, Spain and various European countries, thanks to their environmental conditions.
