Using C-mount CCTV Lenses on APS-C

    I was looking for something on eBay and came across a listing for a 35mm f1.6 C-mount CCTV camera lens at £17.42 that said it would cover the whole frame on APS-C. I also noticed that you can get a C-mount lens adapter for my Sony Nex, which is an APS-C sensor, for £3.75

    Does anyone think that this will actually work, or am I likely to find that it's dark at the corners or something? I'm a bit tempted, but it's more than I really want to spend for an experiment, and I don't actually need it much.

    A guy at work showed me his CCTV lens on a Canon M3. Bokeh looked nice, but there is a lot of vignetting on all of the corners.

    I had a feeling that would be the case. OK, not a good idea then. Maybe if I ever get a micro 4/3rds camera...
