This is total nonsense. I can get my SL3 to connect to the computer, Tablet and or phone like 5% of the time. It's ridiculous and frustrating. Any ideas on how to connect everytime? Thanks for any advice as i want to throw this camera in the garbage and buy a Nikon! Neil
i can transfer via usb with my Canon M50, mostly i use wifi though does the Sl3 not have the Micro-B port too? which wifi system are you using?, i find canon's eos utilities 3 has 100% connection to my mac book every time.
It has got a USB socket and if you use the proper USB cable with the right software then it will work every time. Details are in the manual. If you must use bluetooth or wifi then you can expect problems as with any camera. Easiest way is to get a card reader for your PC.
So USB direct connecting has not been a preferred method for a decade. I still do use the USB from time to time but as files got bigger transfer times are embarrassingly slow.. They went wfi and connecting to the camera as a hotspot should work well, you of course cant connect to anything else with your computer for the 5 min it takes to transfer since the camera is the wifi. The other primary option most use is just a good old card reader then put in camera again and format before shooting again method. (Not sure any new cameras are focusing on USB as the main connectivity)
I have it figured out. My fault as i wasn't doing it in the proper steps. I bought the camera new, But it didn't come with a disk or book like my previous T2i I tried connecting via USB but nothing. Thanks for the replies, I figured i should come back to say it was my issue, Not the cameras. Neil
Welcome to the forum Neil, may I suggest you log onto the Canon site and look up your camera's manual. If it is there it will be free to down load.
