    Hello.
    I recently purchased a new Canon Powershot G7 X MK2.
I've noticed when filming in low light I sometimes have 2 red dots to the left side of footage recorded.
They never appear on footage in well lit areas, and don't always appear in low light, but certainly over half of the footage filmed in low light conditions has them.
Can anyone advise on what they are and what the cause is?
I'm going to assume I'll need to send it in for repair, but thought I would check in here first.
You can see an example here:
Thanks in advance for your help.

They are hot pixels, every digital camera will have some. Not a problem with still photography but obviously annoying with video. I don't do video so I am not aware of any possible fix apart from sending your camera back to Canon, but be aware that a certain number of faulty pixels may be considered to be acceptible in their standard specification and even they do fix them then you are likely to get more as the camera ages.
There is a good explanation of this problem here:
