SX70 hs

    My LCD is dark in all four corners. Will an LCD screen replacement fix this or is the back light the problem? Thanks.

    Correction. It is an XS 40 hs

    Did it start going dark in the corners over time? If it is only on the screen and not the image affected the the screen would be the problem, I assume images are not impacted. Now the crux, shipping in and repair or part replacement adds up quickly, sx40 came out in 2011 so replacement used would be under 100 bucks and cheaper than repair. Maybe a an upgrade would be a better option if it is really bugging you with the screen the way it is. Just a suggestion...

    Thanks for the reply. The photos are fine. I am current!y using the viewfinder. A Canon repair would be too expensive. An upgrade is the solution or continue to use the viewfinder.
