I'm getting ready to fly to Orlando on Thursday, so I was wondering if anyone has advice on traveling with a camera, zoom lens, and tripod? I have a carry-on case and a camera case, but I was wondering the best way to approach it!

Definitely should carry on the camera in a camera bag, I haven't traveled with gear on a plane in some time, but would not travel without my camera as carry on with me. I have multiple bags, sling size on up to 17in laptop camera bag that will work for carry on; depending on the amount of gear needed to go. Also, I have traveled with a carbon fiber tripod packed between my clothing in my luggage i checked at the counter.
Air travel and costs have maybe changed this approach a little but ideally you want to pack the tripod inside other luggage.
