I took some photos on my CF card. I can't transfer them from my 5D MKII as the port is faulty. Tried using an adapter, but it wont read the card.

Bought a new 5D MKII, that wont read the card, but reads others. Thought the CF card but be damaged. Put the CF car back in my old 5D, and I can see the pics but can't get them off.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Your CF card itself isn’t completely dead—your old 5D MKII can still see the photos. The problem is that the card is partially corrupted or has a minor filesystem problem. I would suggest don’t rely on adapters. Connect the card directly to your computer with a card reader.
Also, there are some tools like Stellar Photo Recovery or PhotoRec that can read the card even if the computer or camera can’t. They’ll scan the card and recover your photos.
