Not a common sight

    You don't see many of these vintage 4-furrow Ferguson ploughs.

    I don't know how I missed this cracking shot first time round John. It reminded me of a vintage ploughing match in my village a few years ago. The competitors were all local and to call the equipment (and some of the ploughmen) 'vintage' was a misnomer, 'archaic' would have been a better term, but I digress. The most entertaining part of the whole competition was the antics of the ploughmen. It seemed that for every few yards of furrow ploughed, they would have to dismount and hammer, bend or tighten something on the rig before firing up the tractor in a cloud of fumes and setting off again, only to do it again in a few yards.

    You had a fine sunny day for your event John, I wonder what the kiddies found so interesting in the stubble?
