Just a few quick images testing my new Canon EF 75-300mm on the 20D.
Hand held, ISO 100, f8, 1/400. No processing, just resized JPGs SOOC. Click on image for full size version.

The reviews I read said that this lens suffers from bad CA. Don't believe everything you read. This looks OK to me.

    Lens 17-40 f4L, 24-70 f4L IS, 100 f2.8L IS macro, 200 f2.8L, 300 f4L IS, 300 f2.8L, 100-400 f4.5-5.6L IS, 500mm f4L IS
Nice shots...CA usually appears at the wider apertures anyway. If you shoot at f8 like these you'll be fine.

Thanks for that info. I wasn't aware of that. OK, I'll ramp up the shutter speed which will force a wider aperture and see what I get. It can wait until tomorrow. :)

Another alternative is to select aperture priority and open it up to its widest setting. Good luck.

Yes, that will do it too. There is always more than one way to achieve an objective. (I was shooting in manual at the time because Canon's approach is different to Pentax's!!)
