Hello Everyone, I'm completely new to photography and very excited to get started, I made my research and found the Canon T7i bundle is a great choice for me here. I'm planning to buy a bundle with the lenses (EF 75-300mm F4-5.6 III & EF-S 18-55mm). If you were me and very serious about learning photography which bundle you will choose? Honestly, less is more with these bundles in my honest opinion. Many of the items in here are very inexpensive and you you probably will want to upgrade them so I wouldn't waste much going with a very large expensive bundle. For example the tripod is probably worth 40 bucks, you will find its too lightweight to feel sturdy on a long exposure and want to get a nicer one later (however those get very expensive fast but so does everything else.) Paint shop or similar programs are given away with bundles all the time. The 58mm "lenses" for wide angle and macro are just cheap glass screw on filters for the 58mm threading on the lens you have. You probably will not use them and if you want macro there are a variety of real lens options at different price points. So... My advice, if you go the route of a bundle get a memory card or two and a bag of some sort, maybe some lens cloths or something, pay attention to the lenses that come with it and look at reviews. Here is a kit with the 55-250 which from what some others on here say is a good lens, probably better than the 75-300. Hello. I would suggest that you buy neither of these. I think that buying the body and the 18-55mm for now would be best. As your experiance increases, then look at the extras that would suit your style. Don't be frightened to ask questions, there are people with a lot of knowledge on this forum who are happy to help you out. Gary
First off...welcome to the forum. Personally. I would not get either bundles. I feel you do not need a complete photographic equipment kit comprised of mostly inexpensive items that will frustrate you the first time out. Then when you try to sell them to upgrade an item you will find that buyers of photo equipment are all looking for a steal. In the end you will almost always pay full price for the upgrade and the return from the sale of your inexpensive items are not worth the trouble to sell and pack and ship. Make no mistake, retailers that sell under the guise of "Sale" are still selling to you at a reasonable profit margin. Canon like all major manufacturers will not allow a retailer to "undersell" any of their products. My first choice would be to buy a minimum bundle, ie, body and lens. Then purchase other individual items piece-meal as you go along...but take your time buying the other items...slow down. Since you only gave us two choices...Bundle 1 and Bundle 2, I guess the decision will be yours to make. One advice I would like to offer is to check out Canon's refurbished line of products, they are sold directly by Canon and guaranteed by Canon, I have bought from them and am totally satisfied. I bought an amazon bundle last year, only because the bundle was the same price as what Costco had the same camera (T6). I have found I rarely use many of the extra items. (The tripod that came with it is junk) Looking at the upper end of your budget, you may want to consider this option from Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/canon-...5mm-is-usm-lens-black/5005633.p?skuId=5005633 Best Buy's in-store price is also $100 less than the online price (at least locally) which puts it just a few bucks more than your option 2. You are getting a much more advanced body, and a lens you can definitely grow with. As you begin to find your footing, you will start to to determine what lenses and accessories work best for you. If I had to do it over again today, this is what I would be taking a serious look at. For some perspective, I am still a beginner starting to get my footing as well. As I have learned more about my camera (including using it manual) it has really helped direct me in what lenses I should be looking at, as well as future upgrades.

I understand what you're trying to tell me but i found the camera body with 18-55mm lens only will cost me $799 so if that the best price then the second lens, memories, and all the other accessories will cost me only $100 so i think it's a good deal even if they have that low quality as you said. So is there a place where i can find it cheaper than that(not refurbished)? Otherwise i think i will go with the first bundle then think about the upgrades.
Hi Dave, I think you have some good options no matter what you choose. The takeaway from MikeM is that if your spending a grand it may be more worth your time to jump to an 80D, I see jumping up to that step as more worth it than the step up from a T7 to a T7i. So its worth a thought. Rather than a reverb if you wanted to go used I would buy a kit locally off of Craigslist that someone is upgrading from to use as a starter, if they payed 700 you probably will get it for 250. As you may want to jump up sooner than later. I think the big thing we all agree on is the bundles are full of cheap stuff you don't need so don't waste too much on bigger bundles. I still think you should compare the $829 bundle i sent to the $899 the big difference is the longer lens and you can read reviews. Another thought is this black Friday/cyber Monday season these lower end bundles which you see at stores like bestbuy can be grabbed for great deals from what I remember. The one thing we all want to prepare you for is the oh I'm a year in and now I want to go to an expensive body or lens step, so we want you to not invest to deep on into the beginner bodies and lenses.
