    Equipment:
canon 90d body , canon ef 50mm f/1.4 ideal for portrait and close up ,canon ef 50mm f/1.8 for general use , a canon 24 to 105 and a canon ef 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS MKII lens for wildlife and dolphin watching in Scotland , i also have a 1.4 extender for the 100 to 400
I have a canon 90d and a canon 100 to 400 , the latest version not the push pull model.
On a recent dolphin watching trip i pushed the lens to its limit , they were a long way off and it was a big ask.
I have ordered a 1.4 x extender as i know it is compatable with my lens and camera.

Their is a lot of conflicting information on some sites as to what other lens it will work with , example , some say it will/wont work with my canon 24 to 105. ?????

    A little Canon stuff
I can't give you a yes or a no to which lenses this extender will work with.

A couple of things to be aware of is the speed of the lens that you are going to attach the extender to.

Also, just have look at the rear element of the lens, and the front element of the extender to make sure that they don't physically touch each other.

May I suggest you take your camera and lens along to your local camera store and request to try the 1.4x on your camera with the lens attached, would save a lot of guess work. and you will lose one stop of light when you use it.
