    Hi,

Previously I owned an EOS M10 and I adapted some Zeiss lenses from my dad's old Practika slr very easily.

I have an adaptor to fit the Practika lenses to my 5d Classic, but I've just tried taking a picture and the shot was completely black. I can adjust shutter speed but not aperture.

The adaptor I have is a Ken Faith EOS To PB Dumb adaptor.

I've looked through the 5ds menu but can't see anything that would relate to using a manual lens.

Any advice you can give to allow me to use these lovely old lenses with my 5d Classic would be very much appreciated,

    Many thanks,
    Nick

the adapter you have for the 5ds is it a flanged one, on the ef mount bodies the adapters come as flanged and non flanged
