Sorry, I don't understand what you're referencing to when you say "Photos". Do you mean the gallery?

At the top of the page is a button called "Photos". I included a screenshot. There is no reference there to a "Gallery". Screenshot (322)a.png

I use Flickr as my photo sharing website. I find it easier to use a link to my photos on Flickr when posting here. I copy the link then paste it using the "chain" link above. The 7th icon from the left. HTH.

Post Your Photos is a forum section where you can create threads with images in the posts.
Photos is where you can create Albums/Galleries.

Hmmm...I can't find any buttons called "chain". Could I be on the wrong page?

johnsey, now that is clear as daylight, thanks. They both appear as different postings as evidenced by different comments and different view counts, one does not correlate to the other, am I correct?

Correct they are separate, the Galley is a collection of images, the thread posts are designed for discussion. You can link to an image from your gallery in your post however.

Ray is referring to the icons above the comment box that are chain link icons. They are called link and unlink. If you click on link you can insure a URL you want to link to.

If you look at my "Post your photos" threads you will see the information below each image about the link to Flickr. Click on the image number and it will take you directly to that image on Flickr. If you click on my name it will take you to my Flickr stream.
By uploading to Flickr I can link to my images for display on any forum and I only upload them once. If you don't have a Flickr account you can create one for free with 1TB of storage.

Seems I am forever thanking you, rayallen. You are a wealth of information, literally a walking encyclopedia. As a matter of fact I am a Flickr member however I have never tried linking images from there. I am porkphoto there also.

Well, if you already have a Flickr account you are halfway there. Upload you images there and when you want to display an image on the forum click on it and then click on the right facing arrow on the lower R/H side. Then click on BBCode and choose an image size from the image size dropdown (I usually choose 1024 pixels) and right-click on the highlighted area and then click Copy. Then go back to the forum page, click on the closed Chain icon and paste in the URL area and click on Insert.
And, BINGO, your image is linked into your post.

    Is that clear enough?

It's not as difficult as it sounds.
