    Hi,
Hopefully you can shed some light on my issue. In manual mode, when I try to change the aperture manually, an 'L' flashes briefly and then switches back to the number displayed before. I cannot find in my manual what this means. I can change the ISO and the Shutter speed but not the aperture. Any ideas please?

    Hello.

So does the 'L' mean that the aperture setting is locked?

And if so, how did you manage to change it?

    Hi,
Yes. In the menu, there is the 'Multi function lock' (where the camera icon is). For some reason I had 'Quick control dial' selected which means that was locked. By unticking it, it now allows me to change aperture in manual mode.
