Gary, since it was Covid, no need to visit one of those places but I do have their number on speed dial.

I guess that you must be on first name basis there. At least they know who you are.

I was hoping they would do Covid test as it would be one stop shop for all social diseases.

oh the plates, i think i have a full set in the cellar and i had two i was using for regular use so i'm not sure if it was a 4 place set or 6 with two extra,
the cat managed to break one of the two by pushing it off the kitchen counter when it was out there for washing up,
we went on ebay and found some second hand ones as they are probably from the 70's 80's, we ended up with seven more which is good as they are better chip resistant than the cheaper modern stuff we also were using.

of those Ruth exploded one on the cooker, the cats claimed two more...........we have 5 left + what ever is in the original set

I have a cat here at my place . Mr mugginsworth. He indulges in similar behavior but usually bottles, and small objects. I have two lounge chairs located under a mantelpiece. on which are or was several medium sized plaster animals that have been there since my ex-wife live here. Mugginsworth got up there one night and knocked one down barely missing my boarder head who was sitted in the lounge chair below.

speaking of lounge chairs, i had taught one of my cats long ago to bat the swing bin top when it wanted to go out, it learnt this very well as cats do when they want something, it would bat the bin i would get up and open the door for it and out it would go.
then the little sod got smart, it would bat the swing bin, i would get up to open the door, half way to the door the cat would run to the chair and steal it.
it got to the point where i would stop half way to the door and the cat and i had a stand off,

Mr Mugginsworth is not that bright but does has his own kitty couch and a little pillow which he uses all the time. plus his outside privileges have been cancelled when the next door neighbor caught him humping her cat.The woman still complains about it, demanding he have a visit to the vet.

I am sending you a photograph that I made, imitating the image of a bell pepper by Edward Weston. Since I didn't have peppers at home, I found this pear, it's not the same, but it's food, and I send it. Pera 1pspBW3.jpg
