Hey friends I just won from a friend a Rokinon 14mm for Canon, which is a great lens but the outer glasses of this lens are completely destroyed, it's all scratched.

I have nothing to lose because the lens is unusable, so I wish to know.

It is possible to replace the outer glass of a Lens?

Where can I buy those spare parts?

might be possible to polish out the scratches with proper glass cutting polish,
if you go that route a valve lapping tool from the automotive shop will help (a stick with a sucker on the end of it grips the valave, in this case it would be gripped by suction to the rear of the element)

My train of thought was to see if you could find a damaged or broken for parts lens on Ebay.

Can a lens be fixed? Yes they can. I am not sure if you can buy the front element on its own. Have a rummage around on the net.

Let us know how you get on.
