Canon 80D external flash wont work using Live View Display

    Canon EOS 80D
    Can't find a setting to enable external flash to work when I'm using the Live View display on my Canon 80D. if I turn off the live view display all flashes work perfectly. Any tip? At flash control settings all I get is "this menu cannot be displayed, ...

    Canon 7D Mk II, Canon 10-22, Canon 24-105 L Mk 1, Canon 24mm 2.8, Canon 55-250 STM, Canon 100mm usm macro, 3x Metz 58 AF1 & too many film cameras, mainly Pentax
    Turn off silent shooting in live view.
    Explained on page 234 of the full 80D manual where it explains the limitations of using external flash in live view.
