Hi all, I have recently purchased this lens - my question to the members is: Does the focal length panel have a back light for night shooting?
    Thanks
    Andy

I don't think so. Hello and welcome to the forum.

I have never heard of any lens with that facility. Welcome to the forum.

Agreed, that was my first reaction,

Focal length is usually just text, and the Depth of Field Guide window I haven't seen with back-lighting. I imagine that would be darn near impossible without intruding on the inside of the lens and affecting the image. They could probably add that feature but it would make the lens thicker, heavier and more expensive.
