    Hi Everyone,

I recently brought the EOS R (and have updated to firmware 1.2.0)

I do a lot of theatre/show photography and have found this camera almost unusable when dealing with LED lighting.

Attached is an example of what I mean - (forgive the weird image, it's from a show in London last week...it's 'art'...!)

Could this be a problem with my sensor individually, or do all EOS R perform as miserably as this in LED settings?

    Best

I am a Camera novice but this looks almost certainly a product of light frequency! If the same settings shoot fine in other types of lighting then it's very likely you are seeing the strobing effect from light frequencies sync?

Could also be to do with the wavelength of multiple colours the LED's emit, as they will probably emit multiple colours across the spectrum at the same time, similar to light through a prism. The sensor may have trouble with the colours strobing continuouysly? Sorry, don't have a solution for you though off the top of my head.

    A little Canon stuff
Were you using the silent electronic or the mechanical shutter?
