Canon PowerShot SX130IS malfunction

The camera has lost its date imprint all of a sudden. When turning the camera on, the first screen asks to enter date and time. From there every picture I take has the date implanted until I shut the camera off and began using it again. It then asks to enter the date and time again. I have been into the menu to then turn the date on, enter time zone, etc. It starts all over when it is turned off and on again. The camera is about 4-5 years old and its never happened before.

 

I am not an expert but my guess is the time/date battery is going south, its a different battery than the usual rechargeable battery.

I finally found a battery, installed it and that did the trick, works great. Thanks so much for the help. My camera manual is 1400 miles from here at home and I couldn't find one online. Again, Thanks.
