    Canon r6 now - Was 5D Mk1 & Mk2 29-300 l is tele.
I am noe to this forum but not to Canon cameras in general.

    I have - had - both a 5d MK1 and 5d mk2 camera but just purchased a r6.
My question is - With the 5D I was able to use two of my lens ef fitting.
These are a 800mm Samyang mirror reflex and a Vivitar Fisheye ( can not remember the size ).
They both worked ok on the 5D caneras.
Now I have the R6 and the adaptor ( full control type ) I have tried these and can view and adjust some bits like manual focus but the camrra shutter will not fire off.
As the R6 is brand new to me - a week old at the most, I am wonder if there are setting within the camer body to allow these to work.

I am guess I know what the answer will be :-(
    Thank in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I don't have my camera to hand, but you are looking for an option in the menu that is along the lines of "release the shutter without a lens attached".

Change that, and you should be good to go.

Hi GDN, and thank you for the information.
Found what you said and now can use the manual lenses. Not the ones I would normally us but they are better to be on the end on the camera than in a draw lol .

Again Thank you for your help.
    Stay Safe.
