Does anyone care to give their opinion of the Canon Rebel SL1 DSLR compared to the Rebels.
    Thanks,
    Peter.

It rivals some of the mirrorless cameras having touch screen, a very responsive liveview mode and the smallest size as a DSLR. Autofocus is very good, using not so old technology. The lens kit is not great but also not bad, having an usable close-up "mode".

the SL1 is a rebel - it's full name is the Canon EOS Rebel SL1. and to compare it to other rebels, it would be helpful to know which ones. i like the T6s more than the SL1 as it has a top screen, second control dial and possibly better autofocus. some other rebels (the T2i, T3i, etc) have a little more going on with external controls but the SL1 beats them on size and weight, and beats the older ones for image quality.

Even with my larger hands, I like the little bugger.
With a good lens, can produce nice sharp, colorful images.
Though the full frame cameras are better at low light and sharpness, but at a higher cost.
