I own the eos r5/6 and now the r5c and I cannot upload my express card and I do use an express card reader( works fine with r5) What am I doing wrong here? Ive spent hours updating both my razer blade pro 17 I9 8core and I9 14 core respectively they have plenty of horsepower. I also use Premier pro 22

Are you saying you do not see the files on the card in the card reader, or you can not copy them over to your storage location??
Since it is working fine with your pother card/camera i think you need to verify the card is failing by using a different card in your 5c.

What I menat to say was. I can see footage on camera playback. But when I use express card reader it shows nothing, and when I use sd card reader it shows nothing. Now I chased my tail doing updates to win 11 and all drivers. still nothing. Im thinking I have r5c set up incorrectly Its much different than r5

You should be able to see at least the folder structure.
Your computer and camera both should have nothing to do with this problem..... Windows should see files and folders even if it doesn't know what the format of the files are. The card is brand new I assume? Did you do an in camera low level format before using it as is best practice with any camera?

Two different readers a a multi card reader that accepts both? And you can confirm other cards work in both of these? Again, I am trying to confirm which card the video or still were written to and eliminate the car or reader as a problem.
FAT file system formats are used by canon depending on camera and card, i could also see an issue if the format is not exFAT or FAT32.
