Hi, I recently bought an EOS R and after going on Canon's website, I found my firmware was out of date. I updated the firmware to the latest version then subsequently read that I should have removed the lens to install the update. Will this cause a problem at a later date, as the camera seems to be working OK
    Many thanks - Roy

I am sure that your camera will be fine. What I have heard of firmware updates is that if it fails, the camera won't work and you will need to send the camera in to be fixed. But as yours is working just fine, I am sure you don't have a problem. Just make a note to yourself about the removal of the lens if you update to a newer firmware in the future.
