I have a Canon T7 but the speedlight foot does not work. Someone once told me that some T7's do not have the center pin to use the foot. can someone help me out. I have a Godox Speedlight.

Canon played a game here with their rebel line of cameras, they started removing the middle pin, this allowed the camera to work manually with 3rd party flashes and even other staple brands. The other pins a proprietary to canon, you will likely need a canon flash, I'm not sure if there are any 3rd party compatible without the middle pin.

Higher level cameras still have the pin, it was a bold move to force the entry models to stay name brand and make some money back on the expensive flashes.
