Welcome to the forum, As you may know, tethering can be done using usb or wifi, and the Canon EOS Utility can be setup to import you photos into Lightroom. Not something I have done much of but pretty straight forward. There should be a couple of users with more experience around here. I would recommend using a long cable if you can over wifi, it would be a bit more reliable for maintaining a connection and not timing out.
