Interesting concept on focusing

    Equipment:
    77D, 18-136mm, 70-300mm, Pixma-100
    When you set the dioptic on the view finder so your eye sees things in focus, does this change anything in the lens focus?
    I guess in other words, just because my Eye sees it in focus, is the lens at true focus?
    Some photos were sharp to my eye, but not quite the best focus on the shot...
    Curious .....
