a Former Lady Member of Brentwood & District Photographic Club finally got together some photo gear from her Deceased Husband who died in his Darkroom in 1993..... EOS Gear.JPG It included THIS Canon EOS camera and lenses. What a SHAME the EOS 5 has the battery door MISSING and I cannot get it to work by pushing in the 2CR5 battery -- does any Forum member know IF I can get a replacement battery door ?
The 2 lenses are : EF Zoom 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 Mk II with missing front lens cap and a Tokina AF 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 with missing front lens cap . Both lenses were FILTHY as is the mirror in the EOS 5 -- I have managed to clean up camera body and lenses.
I have on my 'Gift' EOS 1000F N the 'Kit ' lens EF 35-80mm f4-5.6 Mk II --- how does the EF Zoom 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 Mk II compare ? is one more 'Modern' than the other ? I'm NO EXPERT on CANON Gear !

I have a 1000F and a earlier EOS 10, I think they use the same battery and so the battery door covers is very similar.
There is quite a few years between each and if the door fits each other then it should be a simple matter of a later model camera , you can use for parts.
My suggestion when this virus lock-down is over look around the charity shops, sooner or later no-working canon cameras will come in,
I volunteer at Vinnies and lucky me I handle all the camera gear and we get a lot of non-working cameras in, should be the same for the OP shops in your area.
If you are a regular visitor there and they get to know you then they may put them aside for you, all the best with it, regards, Craig S.

Thanks for all your help ! the EOS 5 'Battrery Door' is also the right 'GRIP' - it is not same as EOS 1000Fn which takes 2CR5 battery.
