Hello, I have recently changed to canon. I have the Eos R5 and the RF 100-500 lens.
Please can you recommend what which cover would be good to protect the lens during daily use. ( I see some covers have to be removed if you retract the lens which strikes me as being a nuisance.) Would prefer a cover that is not too bulky. Thank you!

Hello, Thank you for replying. I am looking for a cover for the zoom lens to help prevent it from scuffs and to make it less visible for wildlife photography but that does not interfere with extending and retracting the lens. I found a company online last night that sells a Neoprene Lens cover that is for a RF100-500. The company is called "Outdoor Photography Gear Ltd" The cover is actually divided into several pieces There is even a video to show you how to line up the pieces. They make covers for a variety of camera and lenses at a reasonable price. You can also buy a mesh cover for the extendable part that does not stop you zooming in and out. What do you think?

do you know why canon makes the lenses in white?
it helps to reflect the heat away from the lens, i guess if you in cold climates covering it up shouldn't make any difference.
