I've just bought the Canon 800D and added a Tamron 10-24mm lens. Prior to this I was using Rolleiflex TLR cameras but time to move on, I just don't have the patience for film developing and processing any longer.

Welcome to the forum. Your 800D and Tamron 10-24mm kit is a good place to start. I have that Tamron lens in Pentax mount and it is nice to use. I used to shoot with a Yashica TLR many years ago. You will notice a huge difference with your move to digital. The whole process is much faster and I love it.
