I have this Sigma 70~300mm APO Macro Auto-Focus lens and like it a lot. It does not appear to be
compatible with my Canon EOS 80D camera. The lens fits very well onto the camera, however when
I turn the camera on, I get the Message: "Lens is not a compatible lens, clean the contacts."

On a new camera? Well anyway, that is exactly what I did and when done turned the camera on and the
same message appears. Although the lens fits on the Canon body, I tend to believe that the contacts do
not match up and therefore it is incompatible. Does anyone here know if there is an adapter available that can bail me out of this? Again, I do like the lens and would hate to have to part with it. It works very well with my Canon EOS Rebel T5, but I believe that the camera is about to be sold.

    Many thanks,
