I have seen this too, It is good that there is interest in the making of new film cameras as it shows the keen interest in film photography. Hopefull this interest will flow onto other areas of the film industry.

    A little Canon stuff
Likewise, I have seen this as well. I am a long time Pentax user. I like the brand. But I am not sure what to make of this. I am curious, but not 100% sure that I would buy a brand new film camera. I do own one or two used film cameras already.

I think it would come down to two choices, a similar one to the K1000 or something similar as it may be a bit cheaper to make and fairly bullet proof or to their latest ones with all the electronics, auto focus and multipoint light reading.
Personally I think it maybe along the lines of the 1000 with a few extra bells and whistles.

Me too , Gary, a sotmatic, SP1000, two K1000s and a heap of non functioning pentax MGs, ( the main issue with these is the grease dries out and the mechinsms do not allow the mirror to drop down or the film advance lever to operate), still a cool little camera when it is CLAed and working..
